A Bit About Me
Before pursuing dietetics, I developed a strong foundation in food service while working as both a cook and server in assisted living communities and restaurants. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the role food plays in nourishment, connection, and overall well-being.
My commitment to nutrition education and counseling was further shaped by my own experience working with a dietitian who introduced me to intuitive eating and a more compassionate, food-informed approach to wellness. That experience transformed the way I viewed nutrition and inspired my mission: to help youth learn about food beyond the rigid food rules and recommendations shown online and on social media. It is important that children and adolescents learn to connect with their bodies and cultivate a sustainable relationship with food.
In August 2022, I passed the national Registered Dietitian examination and became certified to practice in Wisconsin. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics through the Coordinated Program at Mount Mary University. Today, I reside in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and I continue to work in behavioral health, supporting individuals with a wide range of nutritional and mental health needs.
Work Experience
My Experience as a Dietitian
My Education
My experience spans from beginning in inpatient psychiatric care and residential treatment for children with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) to residential programs for adolescents navigating depression and other mental health challenges. Most recently I have been working in all levels of care for individuals recovering from eating disorders, including inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization programs.
Over the past three years, I have worked closely with clients in one-on-one nutrition counseling, helping individuals navigate recovery, rebuild trust with food, and develop sustainable approaches to nourishment. I have worked primarily with children and adolescents, but have also worked with adults and the older population.
Through this work, I advanced to a Clinical Level II Dietitian role and began pursuing my Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) credential to further deepen my expertise in eating disorder treatment.
